Newly equipped van will allow for live broadcasting anywhere across the country.
Nuevo Tiempo Chile, the Seventh-day Adventist TV network in that South American country, introduced a new mobile unit on December 3, 2018. The mobile TV van will allow for live HD broadcasting anywhere across the nation through the Internet, regional church leaders said.
“For the Nuevo Tiempo Network, this development is a great blessing and a longstanding dream come true,” said Nuevo Tiempo Chile president Tomás Parra Contreras. “It will allow us to reach any place across the country with the message of the gospel, and to broadcast evangelistic series to share with those who follow us through our various platforms.”
A Visionary Investment
The new mobile TV van required an investment of 300 million Chilean pesos (about US$436,000). The new equipment includes four high-definition cameras, digital audio, and a 12-port high-definition switch.
“This new mobile unit will allow us to work with several cameras in full HD format as we take them anywhere,” explained Germán González, Nuevo Tiempo Chile’s technical manager. “We can drive the van to any Adventist church, offering evangelistic meetings, for instance, and broadcast live from there.”

González explained that the goal is to be closer to people and increase the network’s efforts to share God’s truth. “We desire to find better ways of giving every willing person a message of hope through [the network] broadcasts,” he said.
Nuevo Tiempo Chile financial manager Hanz Albán said that the December 3 introduction of the new mobile unit was a time to be thankful. “As I see it, it is important that we are grateful for all the efforts the TV team is making,” he said. “And we want to thank all those supporters who, through their financial contributions, help us carry out projects like the one we are now enjoying.”
Network leaders reported that the ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by regional and union territory church leaders, the Nuevo Tiempo Chile network team, and supporters.
The new mobile unit’s first assignment has taken it on the road, following the “Caravan of Hope” evangelistic drive across southern Chile for more than 3,000 miles (about 4,800 kilometers].
Regional church leaders say they hope the new unit will assist their efforts in proclaiming Jesus’ second coming. “We desire to use [the new TV mobile unit] to further spread Christ’s message until His return,” they said.
