Adventist University will participate in Pan American Games Lima 2019

The Universidad Peruana Unión (UPeU) signed an inter-institutional collaboration agreement with the Special Project for the Preparation and Development of the 2019 XVIII Pan American Games and Sixth Parapan American Games on Thursday, May 30, 2019.

The agreement will enable students to participate as volunteers on the staff team of the Pan American Games, through the establishment of terms of coordination and mutual cooperation within the framework of the Lima 2019 Volunteer Program.

The students selected as volunteers will be trained by the Special Project Commission, which has the objective of executing the Lima 2019 Volunteer Program. This Program consists of recruiting, training, and encouraging Volunteers who act as hosts and provide support in sports activities during themost important multi-sport event in the continent, which will take place from July 26 to August 11 (Pan American Games) and from August 23 to September 1 (Parapan American Games)of this year in Lima, Peru.

The Agreement was signed by Gluder Quispe, Rector of the Universidad Peruana Unión (UPeU), and Carlos Alberto Neuhaus Tudela, executive director of the Special Project. The Coordinator of the Professional School of Physical Education of UPeU, José Espinoza, will be responsible for the follow-up and coordination of the execution of the Agreement.

The signing of the agreement was attended by the following authorities of the Faculty of Humanities and Education of UPeU: Moisés Díaz, Dean; CPC Guillermo Huayapa, Financial Director; Melva Hernández, Academic Secretary;  José Espinoza, Coordinator of the Specialty of Physical Education;  Javier Sáenz, Chaplain; as well asa group of students representing the Professional School of Physical Education.
