Every year, on the Feast of Pascha, the choir from the Aksai Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kazakhstan, conducts an unusual service. They perform hymns at the central entrance to the city cemetery.
This year on Sunday, April 8, the weather was sunny, albeit windy, which somewhat complicated the work of the conductor and choir. It took some time to get used to, but participants gathered quickly and an audience began to grow.
The choir, consisting of 17 people and the conductor, performed spiritual choral psalms. This did not go unnoticed by the visitors to the cemetery and church. Some passed by, others smiled – all reacted positively to the performance. Someone even took a video of the performance. But the target audience were passersby. The choir tried their best to let the singing reach their hearts, and the Holy Spirit touch the strings of the soul of these people.
While the choir was performing, other members of the Aksai Adventist community offered to pass out packages with various types of literature (children’s books, newspapers, books about health, etc.). During the first hour of service in the city cemetery, all the packages were distributed.
The main result of this output was the distribution of a large amount of Christian literature, several personal conversations with people, testimonies of the love of God and an invitation to worship in the Adventist community of Aksai.
