Is there a future for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Europe? Ask Pastor Ted Wilson and the answer is a resounding, “Yes”.
Speaking during an engaging interview conducted during the European Pastors’ Council in Serbia, 28 August – 2 September 2018, Wilson shared a global perspective on how ministers and lay members can work together to transform communities.
Wilson believes strongly in traditional forms of evangelism, but equally sees how new and innovative forms are working to help reach people in different communities. Part of that is being involved in community, or, to quote an example from his recent trip to Mexico, running small groups.
We often hear about success stories—which can be discouraging in parts of the world where growth is small, or where the church may be in decline. Wilson recognises the challenge, but shared how the church can revive, even in very traditional places like Japan.
When we get that passion in our lives, when we get inspired for God: we can make a difference.
