During 2020, despite the pandemic that affected the world, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ecuador continued to baptize people, and this year, while distancing itself is still being maintained as the main biosecurity measure against Covid-19, church leaders decided to train and involve church members in Bible teaching and personal care.

That is why on Saturday, March 6, from the headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of southern Ecuador (Misión Ecuatoriana del Sur – MES) the launch of the Bible classes for this missionary field was carried out online, using Facebook to record the classes so that they can later be shared in a program organized by the missionary district pastors on the Zoom platform.

This program was joined by: directors of the Women’s Ministry, Children’s and Adolescent Ministry, Pathfinders, Adventurers, JA and others interested in learning how to carry out their Bible class.

The training was attended by Pastor Herbert Boger, Director of Personal Ministry for eight countries in South America; administrators and leaders of Ecuador, Pastor Giovanny Izquierdo, President of the Church in Ecuador; Rocío Castro, leader of the Ministry of Women; Pastor Pablo Jácome, Director of Radio Nuevo Tiempo; from the Ecuadorian Mission of the South-MES, Pastor Gustavo Cevallos, leader of the youth ministry, Mónica Meythaler, leader of the Children’s Ministry and Adolescent Ministry; Pastor Alberto Amador, leader of the Personal Ministry; each one training on how to carry out Bible classes according to age and ministry.

Pastor Darling Ayala, President of the MES, ended the programming with words of gratitude to God and congratulated all those connected for accepting the challenge of studying and teaching the Bible in a dedicated and committed way.
