It’s been more than a week since the heavy rains caused devastating floods in Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul, leaving more than 530,000 people without a home. ADRA continues to help manage temporary shelters where food, clothes, and hygiene essentials are being distributed, as well as a mobile unit.

The mobile unit allows ADRA to reach those in need with meals, washing, and drying of clothes, as well as psychosocial support as they recover from this emergency. In its first 84 hours of operation, the mobile unit was supported by 150 volunteers and distributed more than 2,350 lunch boxes, 2900 kg of sanitized clothes, 1210 food baskets, and 1160 hygiene kits. With more than 2.1 million affected by this catastrophe, ADRA is invested in continuing to supply relief to this emergency, and we wouldn’t be able to do it without you.

We thank you for all your support and we ask that you continue to pray, not only for the people in Brazil but for every person who might be going through the unimaginable right now.
