In the late 1930s, a pastor in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, needed a way to follow up with people who showed an interested in studying the Bible after hearing his radio broadcast. He adapted a set of Bible study lessons and started a 23-lesson Bible correspondence course. Soon other Adventist radio ministries were offering Bible correspondence courses. Today the Discover Bible schools are still sending out lessons and providing lessons online. Today we’ll be talking with Kurt Johnson who heads up the Discover Bible schools. We’ll also be talking with Gerson Santos, director of the Global Center for Urban Ministries.
