We come to you from the city of Bergen in Norway; where the Adventist message entered through an amazing missionary, John Gottleib. He was a priest before he received the Seventh-day Adventist message. And he converted nearly his whole congregation in the United States midwest. He was a talented musician and a church planter–he was also responsible for printing the first Adventist publications sent to Scandinavian countries. But It was only in 1877 that he officially moved to Scandinavia as a missionary and 2 years later founded the first Seventh-day Adventist church in Oslo, the capital of Norway. This congregation initially had 34 members, today there are nearly 5 thousand members here in Norway.
