“My name is Amira. I use to be just a child. Now, I am called a child refugee.”

This is Amira’s Story.

As we mark World Refugee Day, more than 100 million people continue to be displaced globally, according to the refugee agency for the United Nations, UNHCR. Approximately 26.6 million of these are refugees. Refugee children are five times more likely to be out of school than non-refugee children. To ADRA, these numbers mean one thing: we cannot afford to waver in our response to help those displaced by conflict, persecution or disaster.

Watch Amira’s story and join us in our commitment to see every child refugee in school.
